Bejerano Lab, Stanford University

It is a common mistake to think of Genomics as a sub-field of Genetics. Genomics and Genetics are equals. The only reason Genetics has taken the lead is that we have had access to the phenotype forever. We have only had access to our full Genome for little over a decade. But boy, what a view. If Genetics is the Earth, Genomics is the Sun. We, humans, care most about the Earth, but we realize it revolves around the Sun. Bull; Departments of Computer Science.

Schrader Lab

The Schrader Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Wayne State University. Is focused on understanding RNA based genomic regulatory mechanisms in bacterial cells. Using a systems biology approach we combine genomics, biochemistry, and genetics to reveal the genomic regulatory programs that control bacterial development. students should contact professor Schrader to discuss possible projects. 2015 - Nadra joined the lab.

The Scott Lab, Developmental Biology - Faculty Research Laboratories - Stanford University School of Medicine

In The Department of Developmental Biology. Genetic Regulation in Development and Disease. Matthew Scott is investigating how embryonic and later development is governed by proteins that control gene activity and signaling processes. He is exploring how defects in the regulators of development, or in related proteins, lead to birth defects, cancer, and neurodegenerative disease.

This site devbio.stanford.edu states the following, "The Barna Lab seeks to address how the living blueprints of developing organisms are built." We noticed that the website said " The Bejerano Lab focuses on a fundamental question in Human Genomics the relationship between genometype and phenotype." It also stated " We seek to understand the control of gene expression. A major direction in the lab is to understand how such long-range interactions occur, how they achieve target specificity, and how they may be reprogrammed by alterations to the genome sequence. Our laboratory is interested in the ."

Docker firewall blocking at the source port. Today I installed my brand new docker host system, started some images and as usual trying to setup iptables to restrict the ports to specific source servers and ports. Hours later I learned that this was kinda not so easy. You cannot use the INPUT chain as Docker works with the standard bridge in the FORWARD chain. Now the DOCKER-USER chain sees only port 8000 where I could drop some other source IP.
